Yorkiegirl, if don't get any offers soon, bump this thread up on November 23rd or so and I'll pick some up on my next trip to Holland, which will be on Nov 24th. (I'll throw in some bitterkoekjes too--yum.)

Ooh stroopwafel - my favourite things ever. I have to get a six pack from Airport every time I go over. We ones in Tesco not as good!
Not come across the pepernoten ones though Yorkiegirl, what are they like?

I've used Dutchtaste several times, lots of choice and good delivery prices

Mimie2403 · 12/11/2006 21:31

oops, doesn't work, try this

mawbroon · 12/11/2006 22:12

Ach, Yorkiegirl, I am just back from Holland and I didn't buy any otherwise I could have sent you some.
You could always try to make some? recipe here in English (don't know if you are a Dutch speaker)
We always bring back stroopwafels too as well as drop and Zaanse moestard and tinned capucijners, oh and bessenjuniever and hagelslag. And vla. Blimey, that looks like loads of stuff when I write it down and I haven't even mentioned the vacuum packed haring!

are Peppernoten different to german Pfeffernuesse? If not, than Lidl has those, in white icing and chocolate icing!

We always make are own too, sorry. But guess what there's a shop here in Boulder which sells pepernoten, hagelslag, stroopwafels and peperkoek, all our favourites. Vla yummy my favourite and we can even get our lovely strong Dutch cheese in Whole Foods, so guess we're rather spoilt.
