Save all your empty cardboard food packaging and give them:
a huge piece of kitchen foil
some muffin cases
paint and brushes
glitter
glue

Hey presto!! Happy children and Happy Mumsnetting Mum! That's what's happening in my house right now anyhow!

Or, give them a tray of face paints and let them draw on each other!

Ah yes done that one before. Only problem is once they have painted each other they look for someone else to do! Yep moi!
Last time they did that they door bell rang and I had my face half painted. Thankfully, it was only my sister!

I begrudgingly bought a tweenie playset at a church fayre yesterday...best £2 I ever spent - they haven't played with anything else since!

Mine were so thickly coloured in that i had to scrub them in the bath, and the bath is still all pink! Oh well.

Windy days are great, they love that...wrap them up warm and pack them off into the back garden to be nearly blown away....my kitchen is still full of leaves from the last windy day. yes there's alot of evidence in my house of children having fun There are some gorgeous drawings on the walls though that game wasn't my idea!!
