I find it incredibly dull. I cant drink, but dont enjoy it anyway. I dont enjoy dancing much either (causes me no end of trouble with my pelvis as well).

Why do I get people looking at me like I'm a nutter and assuming that if I'm not drinking or dancing I cant possibly be enjoying myself? So much so that I find it does spoil it for me in the end. All these drunk people stumbling around telling me to 'cheer up'....

JoolsToo · 11/11/2006 00:49

Phew!

Glad to see there are one or two other freaks around

Jools and NDP - you aren't those really annoying 'dancers' that try and drag everybody else on the dancefloor are you?

Chim-chiminee!

arfishymeau · 11/11/2006 01:51

Chim Chim Cheroooooo!

I hate dancing. I am so bad that I did my 3rd salsa course recently and nobody realised I'd already had about 20 lessons.

I do partake in the odd large-ish glass of wine however.

I do approve of you non drinkers and would never call you freaks. You DRIVE.

arfishymeau · 11/11/2006 01:52

If sufficiently well oiled I might however dance to Abba.

ludaloo · 11/11/2006 07:12

I haven't had a decent drink for about 6 years..I've always been pregnant or breastfeeding!
Done my bit for humanity now though and may have a little drink at christmas...
Don't like to drink lots though..I fall asleep in stupid places and dance like a flowerpot man!

NannyStarOfBethlehem · 11/11/2006 08:57

Hola freaks - I don't drink because I don't like the taste - would rather neck 10 glasses of coca cola to quench my thirst. I feel really really self concsious(sp) dancing so do it very rarely at weddings etc but I do enjoy a good boogie in the gay village in Manchester but that's coz i'm definately not the worst dancer there and no one cares if you are anyway!

lulumama · 11/11/2006 09:00

dancing......

Gingerbear · 11/11/2006 09:11

I used to love dancing, but I seem to have lost all sense of rhythm as I have grown older , and now I dance like my dad (76, hip replacement, arthritic)
Also, I will only dance to tunes that I know.

I hate company Christmas/ New Year dos worst of the lot. You daren't get too drunk for fear of embarrassing yourself, all conversations inevitably end up about work, the HR manager always pull you up to dance, and you try desperately to head to the toilets for when the clock strikes midnight to avoid slurpy snogs from old lechers.

nutcracker · 11/11/2006 09:12

I won't dance either and hate that people think I am bored or whatvere just because I am not dancing.

The drinking I have no problem with mind you

Pixel · 12/11/2006 00:53

I don't dance at all and I really hate it when someone makes it their personal goal to get you up on the dancefloor. They make a big thing of it in front of everyone and are then horribly offended when you are finally forced to be rude to get them to leave you alone. Sorry to rant but I've had many an otherwise enjoyable evening ruined by these interfering 'life and soul' busybodies. Grrr.

Don't mind the odd drink though .

auntymandy · 12/11/2006 06:52

I'm not keen on dancing either. Will sometimes then enjoy it, but yakes me a while to get up there...if at all
