Think mine was seeing Laura sitting in a puddle after being pushed by the horrid Janine last night - DP thinks I have gone mad and is now being super nice to me just in case I cry - ha ha ha!!

Oh and my blubbering down the phone to the police operater on Tuesday!!

What is the silliest thing that has made you blub when pregnant??

When pg:

when it rained (!)
that Cancer Research advert
any nappy advert

poppyknot · 29/04/2004 13:39

Railway Children for the 99 millionth time book and film - now so used to it I start crying before the weepy bits. (Bobby's birthday, Daddy, my Daddy bit - it's setting me off just thinking about it.....).and like CountessD not even pg!

When pg I cried on the phone when I was going to get a fine from the Inland Revenue and had to call back.

When I was small I had a book called the Little Wooden Horse by Alison Uttley and couldn't get past the first chapter when he was abandoned. Did it turn out OK?

nightowl · 30/04/2004 01:03

dd's first t shirt... brought a magazine when i was about three months which had a free t shirt printed with the words "i love my mummy" sat and hugged it and cried for hours.

nightowl · 30/04/2004 01:05

oh and ice age when everyone thinks the tiger is dead. ds ran into the toilet and brought me the loo roll saying "but mom, hes not dead, hes not, just watch it and you'll see" had to remind myself who was the child and who was the adult!

Bibiboo · 19/07/2004 11:37

ET. Every time, beofre I was pg. DH has banned it from being played until baby is born for fear of me losing my mind.

Demented · 19/07/2004 12:08

Cold Mountain.

bunnyrabbit · 19/07/2004 13:15

reading this thread.... sniff

Heathcliffscathy · 19/07/2004 13:19

er...the beginning of lion king...i know saddo...

hmb · 19/07/2004 13:22

OK, this will make the rest of you look like sane, well balanced individuals.

Not pg, so I can't put the blame on hormones. I cry like the rain in a Horizon program that I show the kids in school (have to look away so they don't see me blub!) on the structure of DNA. It is the bit in the film where they work out the structure and tim pigott smith is taking about how it is passed from generation to genreation while the camera sans into this amazing structure.

Shit! I'm crying while I type this....I need to get out more!

beachyhead · 19/07/2004 13:28

Welsh men singing in a choir!!!!!

mrsflowerpot · 19/07/2004 13:28

this thread has made me cry! but then I've been blubbing on and off since ds left his pre-school on Friday... never used to be a blubber before I was a mum but everything sets me off now.

Those cancer research ads play on the music channels alot, so at my gym you quite often see a row of women on the step machines in floods.

bunnyrabbit · 19/07/2004 13:31

Soph's thread about her sister emmigrating just had me blubbing.

BR

Heathcliffscathy · 19/07/2004 13:33

br! i'm so sorry! we are ok. i've just called her to say that i'm ok after having given ds lunch. they've left for the airport now. it's going to be ok, i'll fly out to see them in a month or so...but you are so sweet...

bunnyrabbit · 19/07/2004 13:39

Oh good. Yes the sight of DS covered in food always makes me smile too . I'm just a big softy now. God knows what I'd be like if I got pregnant again.....

Oh and the song 'You are my Sunshine' makes me sob.

In fact I'm welling up again now...

BR

boudicca · 19/07/2004 14:10
