you've never seen a bunch of cuter, happier geeks. totally engaged in something they're passionate about. shouldn't think for a second they give a monkey's about being geeky.

it's robotics - which was what dh did his PhD on. I'm only half watching it - being a bit of a social - rather than scientific - observer of it all. but the robot builders are genuinely worthy of respect. better to be a geek into robots than an idiot with no interests apart from the pub.

hmmm. dh wants to go back to it. shame most of the funding for this stuff comes from the US military
