Cheapest way to get a cot from London to Lincoln- ?

dawnyb's interested in buying our cot but neither of us has a clue how to transport it from here to Lincoln. Courier? How does that work and how would we get a price? (I can't weigh the thing!) Anyone got any kind of ballpark idea what it might cost??

Try Payperdrop - £5.99 up to 31kg, but you'd have to dismantle it to fit in with the size limits.

For weighing awkward things, try weighing yourself, then weighing yourself carrying said item, and working out the difference. (repeat for several parts if necessary). I don't think a cot would be over 31kg though.

Thanks Lunar, that looks very promising. dawnyb, what do you think?

I can't pick up the cot, but it is currently dismantled so weighing each bit might be possible - will ask DH!

apparently Staples (the stationery superstore people) will send any parcel inland for £8. this is according to a school mum who says her dh regularly ebays things like radiators, and sends them all via staples.

seems too good to be true but if there is one near you worth looking into?

Interesting PPH - can't find any reference to this on their website ...
