Hola mi wenchitas - here we are back at the Swagger Inn about to commence our year long speculation about storyline, how longs Aramis' hair will be, will Milady and Athos finally shag, will there be a baby Constagnan or a baby Porthos???

LetUsPrey · 03/04/2015 21:03

Charade is one of my favourite films Madame

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2015 21:03

Ooooh. WW blackberry schapps sounds very good...

We are watching the end of a MasterShout and then on to clear another Fortitude... if I can stay awake after my tiring day of doing, er... sod all.

I don't think I have a favourtie old film Madame. I think I enjoyed one with ah. I was going to say the invisible rabbit called Harvey. So that would be 'Harvey' but it's years since I've seen it so I've no idea if it was any good. Do you know, I've neer seen Breakfast at Tiffanys? Read the book, but never seen the film.

FolknNorah · 03/04/2015 21:05

Hmmm, I don't mind Audrey Hepburn. I'm sure I like old films, I just can't remember which ones. Easter Hmm
glad to make you happy comtess I'd like to lock the door with wine and treats but alas no. Easter Grin

I started watching Nashville is it worth carrying on?

Baddz · 03/04/2015 21:07

The princess bride is one of my fave all time films

Morelikeguidelines · 03/04/2015 21:11

Made dh (arsenal fan) laugh this afternoon by calling arsene wenger Cardinal Richelieu. He is though, isn't he?

MavisGrind · 03/04/2015 21:15

Different Hepburn but my favourite actress is Katherine Hepburn. Love The Philadelphia Story and Bringing Up Baby - excellent old style screwball comedies. Another one is His Girl Friday - Cary Grant is wonderful. I also will watch any number of Astaire/Rogers films - lovely stuff.

Oh, I want to watch something great on telly now

Morelikeguidelines · 03/04/2015 21:18

baddz I adore princess bride (may have mentioned this before).

Favourite properly old film is wuthering heights with laurence olivier in it.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2015 21:18

Badders 'Princess Bride' isn't OLD though Shock

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 03/04/2015 21:18

I am feeling really low this eve. It's Fri, 9.15 - do you think the 2 are related?

Plus there is complete shite on the telly

DS2, tonight: "How was your day?"
Me: "Dull"

Is it July yet? Hmm

MadamedeChevreuse · 03/04/2015 21:19

Thank god there is one gooner in here mr mlg...!

letus I really like Charade. Also Sabrina. And Breakfast at Tiffanys is great, they gave the film a happy ending though helen. Never seen Harvey but I did like Donnie Darko Hmm

LetUsPrey · 03/04/2015 21:22

I love The Princess Bride too Badderz

A wet Aramis has just confronted Treville and shouted at him. I kept the whimper in. Then Athos was doing sullen leaning and Dog has just punched Marzac and said "if you touch her again, I'll kill you". And now Aramis is confronting Treville again and has just punched him twice. Ohhhhh

Morelikeguidelines · 03/04/2015 21:24

Am watching sleight of hand. Aramis has just said the "I've got you" bit.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 03/04/2015 21:24

The original version of The Haunting is quite good. And everything with Errol Flynn Easter Smile

MadamedeChevreuse · 03/04/2015 21:25

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 03/04/2015 21:25

MadamedeChevreuse · 03/04/2015 21:28

Hmmm. The bunnies are now taking on a different complexion.

Easter Smile
LetUsPrey · 03/04/2015 21:30

Oh yes, the Fred and Ginger films, and Cary Grant too. I've watched High Society about a billion times. Same goes for Calamity Jane.

Sparkle can you not do a S1 episode rewatch?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2015 21:30

Oooh Madame Donnie Darko was excellent - in a mind bending sort of way. I think I have a directors cut somewhere that I've never quite got round to watching. (My brain might explode)

FancyFancy · 03/04/2015 21:33

Evening. Just reading about wet, shouty Aramis has made me go oof.

Funny you should be talking old films & especially Audrey Hepburn as I got a pointless answer on a question about her films earlier. I like an old musical - Singin' in the Rain is my fave ever film, love Gene Kelly & Fred & Ginger films. Agree with mavis on Ginger being fanatstic. Like both Hepburns, Some Like It Hot, On The Town...

MadamedeChevreuse · 03/04/2015 21:35

helen its one of the few films I only saw once at the cinema years ago, but can actually remember cos it was so fluppin good and twisted.

nora I haven't seen nashville but its supposed to be really good no?

We're so out of touch we havent even seen Breaking Bad...

FancyFancy · 03/04/2015 21:36

High Society, how could I forget High Society? Shock Love it. I'm going to be wafting around singing show tunes all night now.

Like Caberet too, but the last time I watched it, I kept breaking into 'Tomorrow Belongs to Me' for days afterwards. Inadvisable.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 03/04/2015 21:40

Oh, Gene Kelly Easter Smile

BloodyElkFire · 03/04/2015 21:44

Some Like it Hot is one of my faves...Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon were such a fab comedy duo.

YY to High Society too, MrElk is baffled by my comprehensive knowledge of show songs, and my ability to burst into them at the drop of a hat, indeed...as am I Easter Hmm. West Side Story can't be beaten though, has me in tears every time.

Heating working a treat now....I reckon, at this rate of thaw, I should be able to remove my thermals shortly after Easter
