Just had outside of house rendered - should I tip the crew?

Never know what to do about this.
It's taken them a week, they are friendly, they've done a good job as far as we can tell. We would recommend them to neighbours.
We have paid almost 8K. This is in about the middle of the price range for this type of work so the men should be quite highly paid - better than me or dh. I have made them tea and cakes etc. Should I offer cash as well and if so what would be reasonable?
Would want to be generous but also wary of offending them.

Any advice O wise ones?

Do they get the £8K or are they employees? If it's their own company they don't need any tips - if not and you are really pleased then I bet they'd appreciate the thought.

Dunno how much though, am crap at tipping.

we tend to tip if they are employed (i mean rather than if they own the company we are paying)

e.g. when we last moved we gave each bloke a tenner and a gottle of geer

One of them co-owns the company and there are 3 younger ones.

Maybe I'll just tip them all and he can give the others his share if he wants

Gave them £10 each, a box of biscuits and 8 bottles of Stella
