What network you on?

saltire · 25/10/2006 10:31

I posted a similar thing yesterday, my Orange pay as you go was on "Netwrok Search" all day, i couldn't text, call or receive either. It's still saying it!

Philomena · 25/10/2006 10:31

Nope - both of mine are OK. I have a PAYG and a work mobile. I find the PAYG a little unreliable and have often wondered if the network gives priority to contract phones.

LadyDooM · 25/10/2006 10:32

Hmm they both just beeped, back on signal. lol
ones on tesco, and the other t-mobile. I worry way to easily...

It was quite strange though, because they never lose all their bars, unless I am out of range. But here I always have full signals. Hopefully they will be ok now.

Mine does this from time to time for no good reason. I'm with 3.

LadyDooM · 25/10/2006 10:37

saltire- I am in Kent, where are you at? Maybe its something locally?

OK dumb question - When my mobile says 'emergency only' thats means there no signal, right? so if there is no signal then surely I could'nt call the emergency services?

LadyDooM · 25/10/2006 10:47

slaughterfalls- i never thought of that :S

actually find myself not wanting to think about it.....:S

Emergency only means there is no signal on your 'own' network but in order to make an emergency call the phone will connect to any available network, so if your on orange it will use o2 signal etc. IYSWIM.
