I have been given a quote for a small roofing job and been told that the reason it's sucha large amount of money is because it requires 7 metres of lead for the gulley. I'm trying to get an idea of how much 7 metres of lead might cost please.

No idea, but maybe you could google roof supplies or something and try and find a retailer? Sorry can't be more help.
