are you able to eat ok?

hurrah for sleep and I hope pesky aches and temperature will piss off soon.

I wish for you another good night's sleep and good energy levels for tomorrow.
is it food shopping or something else?
Do you ever shop at Tesco? they have the most amazing Orange Curd in their Finest range. I think you'd like it.
Smile

iklboo · 28/03/2015 14:14

Hope you've had another restful night Zombie & not overtaxed yourself today with shopping. Keep that pesky temperature in order or I'll have WORDS with it!!

We're off to a race night at DS's rugby club later. I have been told I can have up to two large glasses of wine if I like (yay). Take care sweetest x

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/03/2015 22:45

I hope your aches have gone Zombie and temperature has stabilised.

Should be a nice quiet week pottering in the garden, lovely light evenings.

Have been invaded by kids and their friends all w/e, only one still here and she's retired to bed with catch up TV Smile

Hope you enjoyed your Wine iklboo and haven't suffered today.

iklboo · 29/03/2015 22:53

It was luffly thanks B3. Ended up having three glasses in the end over about 3.5 hours. No hangover but the dreams I had were something else! Very weird & disturbing - even for me.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 31/03/2015 19:35

Have we all survived the gales today?
Quite scary driving along the coast.

cin cin SmileWine

Wolfiefan · 31/03/2015 19:41

Hoping you have had lots of rest and didn't tire yourself out shopping. xx

iklboo · 31/03/2015 20:15

Didn't sleep well last night because if the wind (not DH for a change!). Finally dropped off about 3am. I'm up at 6!

Tired = worse with the dizzy. DS had a hyper friend round to play. I came up to bed at 6. DH had an hour's lesson 6:30pm so I've changed the bed, had a hot shower, bit of a pamper (gorgeous stuff from my Mother's Day Glossybox). Now I'm watching Back In Time For Dinner & swearing at the woman who can't cook chips in a chip pan Wink

iklboo · 31/03/2015 20:18

Anyway - hope YOU had a restful night & day today Zombie and are tucked up with the ZCats out of this horrible weather.

ChickyEgg · 31/03/2015 20:54

Hi Zombie I'm more of a lurker than a poster (I'm never very good at finding the right thing to say) but today I had an urge to see how you were doing and tracked down this thread. I really hope you are having a good day Flowers

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 31/03/2015 22:25

Hi Chicky once you've posted you'll be on magi's list for gin rations.

There is no escape Grin

What you've said is lovely.

Allalonenow · 31/03/2015 22:51

Dreadful weather here today, back to winter! Hope everyone is safely snug and warm.

How are you feeling Zombie? Hope you have battened down the hatches and are snuggled up with your cats Thanks

Have you had your pub crawl fact finding mission B3? How did it go?

Why oh why did they pick a family who can't cook and who have little interest in trying different foods for Back in Time for Dinner? The wife couldn't even use a tin opener Hmm And why do they chop/prepare veg with a bread knife??? Confused

Chicky You had better stay for cocktails now you are here Wine Wine

ChickyEgg · 01/04/2015 12:54

I'm more Brew than Wine but there's a first time for everything! Grin

IamtheZombie · 01/04/2015 17:46

Afternoon dear ones. Huge ZombieHugsâ„¢ to all who need them.

Welcome to our phalanx ChickyEgg.

I had a letter from my oncologist yesterday letting me know that my bone scan was CLEAR!!!

Today I've had an appointment letter from the Liver Surgery Clinic at the QE Birmingham. It's on 10th April at 10:50am. I guess this means they feel they have something to offer me. I see my oncologist the day before so she can probably give me an idea if we're looking at resection or radiofrequency ablation. I'm both excited and a bit concerned about how I will manage post procedure. There are drawbacks to living alone in a very rural area.

iklboo · 01/04/2015 18:01

WHOOOOOOOOOOP re the bone scan results. How fan-bloody-tastic!!! That's amazing news. Also optimistic news from the liver team.

Hopefully your oncologist will have some ideas about post treatment and options open to you. I'm sure Team DBF will come up with some thoughts

Many hugs & leaps of joy for you. Celebratory Winerations all round. Thanks

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 01/04/2015 20:10

Fantastic bone scan news Zombie Flowers

I don't really understand all the other things but I will be excited with you and concerned for you.

(((((Bear))))) Wine

IamtheZombie · 01/04/2015 20:22

Radiofrequency ablation is a way of burning off the tumours. It should be able to remove them completely.

Resection is operating to remove the affected part of the liver.

OP posts:
iklboo · 01/04/2015 20:24

Am I right in thinking ablation would be less invasive for you & make for 'easier' recovery (not that any of it is bloody easy of course)?

ZingRabbitsOn · 01/04/2015 20:33

YEEESSSSSSS!

amazing news Zombie !
so so pleased for youThanks Wine Star

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 01/04/2015 22:08

Presumably you have a preference and they will take that into account.

magimedi · 01/04/2015 22:15

All fingers crossed for you.

I am in awe of your knowledge of what is going on & totally salute you for that.

In honour of this (& ChickyEgg) I am doling out a LARGE ration of gin tonight.

However, don't expect any fucking choccy eggs from me!

iklboo · 01/04/2015 22:29

Cheers magi. I'll get the choccy eggs in () () ().

If I had the pennies I'd get us all a Hotel Chocolat ostrich egg each. Unfortunately it's a bag of mini eggs each.

PeaceOfWildThings · 01/04/2015 22:35

I am also in awe of you, Zombie lass. Xx

I wish I were free to come and lend a hand post ablation.

Allalonenow · 02/04/2015 07:54

Easter Grin Easter Grin Easter Grin

What absolutely wonderful news Zombie, you must be so relieved. Hope you have got a glass or two of fizz to celebrate the news with!

mummylin2495 · 02/04/2015 12:46

Great news about your scan Zombie. Things are looking quite a lot brighter at the moment for you, I am very happy for you

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 02/04/2015 18:40

Ooh thanks for chocolate eggs and gin Grin, I'm not chucking any of my eggs at that magi, she'd eat them !

Hope you've got some nice plans for the w/e Zomb and lots of chocolate and lots of whisky Smile

We're off to France at sparrow's fart tomorrow, so internet will be intermittent for a couple of weeks.

Sante! (must figure out how to do the accent on new machine)
