hub2dee · 16/10/2006 22:07

i agree with you i have some lovely albums from when ds was a baby now i never have any printed photos. would you let me know if you find somewhere cheap. thanks

hub2dee · 16/10/2006 22:17

LOL. Like a big brother !

If you pre-purchase hundreds of print credits, the price comes down a lot too.

hub2dee · 16/10/2006 22:18

(photobox also has excellent uploaded apps which make uploading your images a breeze. The cropping / size changing etc. is a little less fantastic but still very usable).

Hi there!

A great place i've started using is a site called PHOTOMAX - www.photomax.com. I absolutely love it. A girlfriend recommended it to me and i've started to upload ALL my pictures on to it!

Their prints are just 6p and you even get 20 free ones when you join up!

In addition, there are plenty of other photo products like mugs, t shirts, dvds and even handbags!

the only thing is that you'll need a referral email so i'll give you mine: [email protected]

hope this helps and any problems, please let me know.

take care all.

JV.

Thanks everybody, I will have a look at them all and compare!

With all due respect, JayV, I think I'd like to advise against use of photomax. This is your first and so far only post on MN, and it appears that you need an affiliate e-mail to register with Photomax, and they subsequently mention you need a credit card registered before ordering too. It is essentially a multi-level marketing business and googling 'photomax fraud' gives a number of interesting hits:

Scam.com for example , and another thread here

I also don't like some of their T&Cs:

"As a condition to your Membership, you hereby grant Photomax a perpetual, universal, nonexclusive right to copy, display, modify, transmit, make derivative works of and distribute any Content transmitted or provided to the Service by you"

If it works for you, wonderful, but I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Welcome to MN.

Thanks hub (looking out for me again ) I did think JV's post looked a little bit too much live an advertisement (only I was too polite to say so LOL )

What are big brothers for, eh ?

(I think I'm older than you, right ? LOL ! I'm 36)

hub2dee · 18/10/2006 08:03

Walalce: They're doing BOGOF on greeting cards (if you wanted any birth / Christmas stuff), hardcover photobooks and calendars. They have a pricebreak at 20 cards so that would mean they're 50p each in this offer (they print full bleed, which look great or you can choose a template). The photobooks (20 pages - ie. 20 images) are approx £9 each if you buy 5 or more with this offer.

hub2dee · 18/10/2006 08:16

(Sorry, that's at photobox Wallace)

Wallace · 18/10/2006 11:43

Way older - I'm only 28

I've started using photobox - see what you mean about easy to upload pics.

OP posts:
hub2dee · 18/10/2006 12:14

Spring chicken.

It is easy, and their funny upload pages also work on Macs as well as PCs, they have regular offers and their volume discounts seem good, and they get stuff off promptly IME.

Hey, is big dd any more chatty at school, or does she keep it only for home ? And how old is the baby ?

Wallace · 18/10/2006 13:25

Baby (ds2) is now 12 weeks old (time flys!) I will put up some pics soon. Dd is still not chatting at school, but interacts well, and communicates a bit with sign language. Thanks for asking

OP posts:
hub2dee · 18/10/2006 15:49

12 weeks ? IIRC that was when we were approaching the exit from the hardest period LOL ! Getting a bit of sleep ? Glad dd is interacting well, the signing sounds great !

kslatts · 18/10/2006 17:09

Not sure about online, but Tesco do cheap prints and you can usually collect within an hour.

TwoToTango · 18/10/2006 17:16

Truprint are good - really quick delivery

Wallace · 19/10/2006 21:14

Thanks kslatts and truprint.

Photo of ds2 for you hub2dee

Awwww... such juicy little fingers, LOL. He has a lovely shaped face, doesn't he ! In the album are also your tummytub shots ! He looks very cute there.

Thanks for sharing !

Wallace · 19/10/2006 21:33

Thank you (beams with pride!) He loves his tummy tub - I have even better phots of him in it, but they are on my mum's computer.

OP posts:
hub2dee · 19/10/2006 21:49

One really good (but completely minor) point with the tummy tubs is that the lowest area is opaque, so privates can't be seen on photos ! (It's the sort of thing paranoid photographers notice).

Stick him in member profiles !!!
