Decent shops in Guildford... lunch with baby too

Quick one - am going on first (brief) shopping expedition tomorrow and am after non-chain clothing and shoe shops (for me and children) that may be off the main high street and that I may miss by being a tourist. DH is feeling generous so posh ones may be ok!

Also, am after a nice cafe for lunch with DH where I will have to bf DD.

Am currnetly feeding...

There are LOADS of small lovely clothes shops in Guildford, as well as the usual array of biggies, most of them secreted in the little alleys between the main shopping roads.

Daisy and Tom might be good for the children.

I like the House of Fraser cafe on the first (?) floor. The restaurant is good too ,on the fifth I think. No idea about bfing, but they don't come across as the sort of place to make a fuss. Hope you have a nice time.

Thanks lou. Am SO fed up with my clothes as I feel I am living in maternity clothes since I had DS 21 months ago and have no idea about what is vaguely trendy anymore (if it doesn't have a Hennes Mama label in it). Having said that will probably come home with clothes for the children...

DS is not a good shopper and with 2 in tow it is impossible. He's off with the childminder tomorrow so it's girls only.

Will check out the cafe - sounds ideal.
