Had them in an hour and they are bugging me already, they are the rigid ones.

BTW, I have had them 9 months, but gave up the first time after 3 days.

I think you've got to build it up gradually to let your eyes get used to having them in - don't wear them too long. Can't remember if there are any guidelines, though.

I have the soft disposables theses days but I had the rigid ones when I was a teenager.

If they are annoying you after an hour then I think you should take them out and try again tomorrow.

Are you not a suitable candidate for soft ones? because they are so comfy in comparison

I use the Oasys ones after much irritation with others. They are very very comfortable. You can sleep in them but I take mine out at night since I have dry eyes and want to take care. Do you have to have the rigid ones?

This suggests it could take up to 2 weeks - do it gradually, and increase the length of time you wear them each day. Or, agree with Lorina, the soft ones are amazingly comfortable. I have the daily disposable ones.

I opted for the rigid ones because they are cheaper, and apparently less fragile and less chance of infection, I tried to build up the lengh of time I wore them for last time, but I am very impatient, I will really try this time as I am as blind as a batwithout them

Thats the good thing with disposables, if you lose one you just pop in another, it doesn't really effect the price since you always have some days you don't wear them. I used to buy the equivalent of 5 pairs a week, giving me 2 days in glasses. Keep going, its a great freedom to have the choice of specs or no specs.

you don't want to hear this - but the non-rigid ones are much easier to wear. I have the extended wear (take them out overnight once per week), that you replace once a month.
