Morning all, just checking in. Haven't RTFT all weekend as we decided to spend an extra night in the 1950s rather than risk snow and ice caked roads in the dark. In days gone by I'd have regarded it as an authentic rally experience. Funny how 2 small kids in the car changes your view on things.

Is it BBC Breakfast they're on? It was only from 6.00 to 7.30 this morning followed by Match of the Day. I recorded it just in case, but nothing. Couldn't imagine them being there that early. It must be tomorrow.

DH said he saw something about them going to be on but tbh he's got cloth ears and it could be total rubbish. FMDHATD (attention to detail).

Either skinny fit means short arms to M&S or all the extra shoulder fabric in normal fit masked the need for extra arm length! Either way I'll be glad when he fills out a bit & becomes a more standard size

Brrrr WW hope you are all prepared? Will you get it that low? In 2010 we were getting -20 overnight and -10 during the day but that was unusual. Not sure I'd cope with -30 though no doubt would be snowed in.

Today it's about -2 and sunny so apparently we are climbing up a big hill this afternoon . That's once everyone is out of the PJs oops.

MrsB we have -10°C at the moment and that's enough for me! I prefer max -5°C. We don't get those really low temperatures here, at the lowest we can get -20° during the day, but that's extreme! Sweden is such a vast (?) country so there's a big difference in temperature and weather from north to south and I live sort of in the middle of Sweden, near Stockholm. I would NEVER move up north

Re Breakfast Show. On Mondays it transfers to the BBC news channel at 7.30 but still goes on till 9. However, it has been announced that the boys are on tomorrow morning.

I have slept an awful lot the past few days so am thinking that I am going to reach a point where I can't sleep soon.

Wasn't it fucking cold this morning. Not that I've been out yet but I could tell from the way passers-by were snuggling into their coats as they walked past my house.

(Don't ya just love saying things like that when it's a day that you haven't had to drag your arse out of bed for the commute to work!)

IKEA was fine, had a cooked breakfast and a wander. Bought plastic boxes and lots of bits but actually was quite inspired by some of the ideas they have. I think we're pretty much 100% sure we're going to move next year so I'm planning my new kitchen in my head before we've even bought somewhere! Forever house here I come!

God, SIL is still here and still pissing me off. I haven't even seen her since friday and she's still irritating me. I had loosely said I'd do a park run on Saturday but it would be pretty unlikely as I'm still under the weather. I didn't in the end as I was full of cold and would end up making myself worse. There is snow on the ground here.

But apparently she has been ranting about the fact that both Mr M and I are lazy, disorganised, lack commitment and are unfit. Oh and I'm getting fat . Incidentally, Mr M has been advised he shouldn't run as he has a plate in his left knee.

Well I've had a massive lie in which on a Monday morning is my idea of sheer luxury. Never gets old.

Have been playing on Playstation with Ds4 to try and 'relate' on Minecraft. Still don't totally get it but am reading one of his Minecraft books now to get up to speed.

Also have spent 2hrs going through ds1's clothes and bedroom with him, getting him to try on things to check sizes etc, create Ds2/3 handmedown pile and throw some clutter. Have had a lovely chat and most productive exercise. Now have dusted thoroughly and he's hoovering. Bliss. I need some ikea bits to reorganise a bit of his wardrobe.
