I didn't know it had been a 2-nighter and finally got round to watching it last night. You can imagine the curses.

Did anyone see it? It's my guess that John Dean tries to kill his second wife in Brussels/Belgium and is stopped in the nick of time by the John Hannah character, who is accused of killing Lucia, who was really killed by his bent-cop partner.

How close am I?

Pretty close. John Hannah character was locked up for killing Lucia and thought that memories of killing her were coming back to him. Police took him back to his home and asked him to retrace his steps the night she disappeared, Lucia arrived in her car and solved the mystery, she had been in Paris afterall. I think they sussed out that John Dean was the one who had been messing with John Hannah character's bank account and phone bill (he was a computer buff), this bit is hazy so could be wrong.

John Dean tried to kill his wife on the boat on the way to Brussels but was stopped by John Hannah character on a Police boat. I think they worked out the John Dean could have had more than two wives. When the rescued his wife John Dean threw himself overboard and didn't re-emerge.

I think that was about it.

Ah thanks, Demented.
I was going, erm ... demented!
I can sleep tonight.

It didn't occur to me that it could have been John Dean messing with the computer & bank. Naughty Lucia, bogging off to Paris. Wish we could all do that when they annoy us, eh?

Just one more thing - did Dean's wife (the Redgrave) get less smug when he tried to kill her on the boat? Because I could have killed her myself, the way she was all over him. Oh, and did the neuroscientists shop him to the police for feining his amnesia?

John Dean's wife was still smug when she went away on the boat. The John Hannah character had given her a list of idiosyncracies that everyone who knew 'John Dean' (in all his previous identities) said he had, he was colour blind and had a peanut allergy, plus a few other things. She had tested him out on the peanut allergy with a dinner that contained peanuts, he had no reaction. When they were on the boat she was quite happy with things and went below deck to check something and ended up finding John Dean's stash of ID cards/passports in loads of different names, plus a wad of money, I think he caught her looking at them and started making a fool of her, saying good try for trying to blow his cover but she got it wrong it was an allergy to pecan nuts not peanuts, peanuts he was fine with. Then the struggle started (I think a hammer was his weapon of choice ) and John Hannah arrived to save the day, she was very grateful and apologetic.

I can't remember much about what happened after he saw the neuroscientists, I don't think they shopped him.

My memory is a bit hazy but if there is anything else just ask away and I will see if I can remember.

Oh and yes on disappearing off to Paris that would be nice, don't think I'd even need to have an argument to fancy doing that!

Thanks Demented. I would have liked to have seen her face on the boat.
(Must get life soon)
