Does anyone know of any good domestic violence/marital abuse books? not "help yourself" kinds but true stories from survivors etc? sort of like the dave pelzer books but about domestic violence between adults?

Roddy Doyle's 'The Woman Who Walked Into Doors' and 'Angela's Ashes' by Frank McCourt.

I'm interested in non-fiction books on DV, particular long-term effects (ie what happens AFTER you walk out the door and long-term effects on kids). Any suggestions?

Oops, the Roddy Doyle book is fiction, btw, and Frank McCourt writes about his mother.
