Am I the only person who doesn't have a video camera / camcorder ?

I bought one a few years ago but it wasn't compatible with my Mac so I returned it.

Whilst it would be nice to have some footage of dd (15 months), I just take loads of photos instead as I just don't feel 'video is for me' IYSWIM.

Just wondering if anyone else doesn't really like them... (or if I should buy one and shut up so that dd can see herself as a baby in 10 years time).

We haven't got one either though we do have a 3 minute video thing on our digital camera if we want to record anything short. I would actually like one I think as long as I didn't have to be on the film they would be nice to look back on to remember what the children sounded like as well.

We don't have one. we have a facility on our digital camera to record snapshots of dd that are about five -10 minutes long, we ahve qute a few of those which are just long enought I think, nothing worse than hours of film footage of dribbling babies!

We don't have one either. We've borrowed them in the past for holidays but then just do video and no photos. I don't speak on them as I dislike my voice and everyone else either 'acts-up' or hides.

Nah, don't like them prefer photos.

I have thought of getting one, as dd does dnace shows but again to be honest I would rather just ahve the five minutes of her on stage than an hour long video of other kids.

have one, hardly ever use, haul it out at x-mas and one or twice a year, do a made few hours of recording, then put it away. I prefer to watch the events live, if you know what I mean.

We've never had one as I always feared I'd then spend all my time behind the viewfinder trying to capture those moments instead of savouring them. It makes the daft mini-film of dd "on safari" bought from nursery all the more special.
I get exasperated enough trying to photograph the pair of them...
