Can you call the aa out?

I don't know but I am guessing the brakes won't work too well if there is oil in them!

Blandmum · 07/10/2006 17:45

I wouldn't use the car until you get it sorted.

I am in no way an expert, but the break fliud tranmits the force that you need to stop the wheels turning. I wouldn't risk it

no your right im soooooo stupid it was only a very small amount but i will get it looked at on monday, i have rac cover i wonder would they advise me i might give them a ring

call the RAC out don't drive it as it cook your brake pipes(dh says)

WigWamBam · 07/10/2006 17:57

Dh says that oil in the brake fluid can cause the rubber seals in the brake cylinders to swell, which may make them fail. Don't use the car until someone has drained the fluid away and checked that your brake cylinders are OK.

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 07/10/2006 17:58

Dont use your car at all until its sorted. Brake fluid is not the same oil. (Its a good paint striper though!) Noraml oil will brake the rubber seals. ( my dad showed some bits to have a car etc.)
If you have not used your car or brakes, then it should not take much to put right. BUT if you have used the car and brakes then the whole system will need looking at and have all the seals etc replaced.
