I'm supposed to be hiding his tickets from him until his birthday at the end of November - but I'm not sure I can keep it from him that long - I know it's only another 7 weeks or so but I so want to tell him......

warty - yes called his boss and he still had 9 days left, I only needed to book 4 for his trip, which left him 5 and he gets 2 between Christmas and New Year - which still leaves him with 2 'spare' ones

Ooooh, I'm always torn about this kind of surprise - yes it will be immense and wonderful, but you are doing him out of 7 weeks of glorious anticipation and excitement...

Tell him, go on

Try not to, the look on his face will be worth the wait. I love doing things like this, it's so exciting.

Hi, I bought my DH a return flight to new york for his 30th for him to visit a friend of his. On his birthday I wrapped up the email confirmation with another present. He was thrilled, I'm glad I waited for his birthday.
