Thinking of Kung Fu for dd but not sure if it's our thing really. She has a trial lesson on Friday with some Chinese Buddhist monks. Has anyone been involved with Kung Fu themselves or had dc attending Kung Fu classes. I'd be interested to hear what your experiences were.

Thanks

Not Kung Fu but my son does Karate and gets on well, he's 5. I think whatever the Martial Art discipline the various clubs will all very greatly in their atmosphere and "personality".

Hope she has fun After watching a few of my sons lessons I took it up myself

On the whole I think Martial Arts are good for co-ordination and listening skills!

my 7 yr old dd has started Kung Fu after school club and is really enjoying it. Not many girls do it but there's no reason why not. neither of her sisters did it so I'm not quite sure why she wanted to but it seems to be quite good fun.

Thanks well dd tried it on Friday - was by far the youngest but apparently they take dc from the age of 4. She seemed to enjoy it. I watched for a while then went off to a cafe with a dad whose ds was there for the first time too and found out all about life in Uzbekistan. Still don't know much about Kung Fu though!
