basically calling to see if I wanted to apply for a personal loan as they've cut their rates.......no I don't - I applied a few months ago (to try and consolidate some of our debts) and they turned me down - and my circumstances haven't changed.

Anyhow, she had the cheek to ask mr (as they'd used my home phone number) whether I was "enjoying my day off" and "it's not long to the weekend and I'd get more time at home then too".

Took great delight in telling her

a) I'm a mother - we don't get 'days off'

b) I work nights, I'm working tonight, tomorrow night and then Fri, Sat, Sun nights - so I wouldn't be enjoying my weekend at home............

i hate cold calling
if you want their product you would ring them

I don't even have a conversation I just say 'no thanks' and hang up before they get a chance to draw me in

it wasn't exactly cold calling - I do bank with them.......but it was the attitude of the "oh you're at home must be having a lovely time living it up not at work" grrrrr

i told a cold caller the other day to hurry up and tell me what she wanted, she launched into a scripted 'you don't have to be so rude....' argh

I do usually Gobble - but they were rather clever with this call - said they wanted to talk about my accounts I have with them.....now I have a current account......which currently lies pretty dormant and I thought they wanted to discuss me moving my Cardcash DD's over to that one (slightly better interest rates).
