Tuesday's Child Model Agency, Reputable?

My son has been asked to go audition for them but they are asking for an up front fee of £150 for the licence, cv, portfolio & all publicity.

I have heard agency's can ask a fee for children & not adults & they are saying that if they do not accept him onto their books, we will be full reimbursed.

I have heard of people they have on their books & got work for.

I also sent pics of my daughter & they have not accepted her straight away, however they have asked me to provide them with more pictures and said if both kids do go to audition on same day, would only be 1 £150 fee not 2, which to be honest makes me more convinced that they are genuine than accepting both straight away & charging a fee for each!

I was just wondering if anyone on here was with them or knew anyone with them/paid the fee/general advice please?

Please do not comment if you are going to criticise me for looking into my child becoming a model/actor/extra, this is not the feedback i am after as i am genuinely convinced both my kids would love it, they love having their pics taken & i am not a failed model/pushy mum. if they did it once & didn't like it, i wouldn't make them do it again!!!

Thanks In Advance x

My son got accepted, as soon as we paid for the photos we never heard back! I emailed the woman over and over, the only response she sent me was to tell me she couldn't possibly email everyone on her books! I know several other people who said she accepted theirs and anyone's kid when the money transferred hands they never heard back. Avoid at all costs. The photos we did receive were crap, they were taken in a tiny room with a make shift background. Very amature!

Oh, too late as we joined! The photos we got were amazing tho. I have heard already & he has been put forward for a job..... so we will see. When did u join? So u have never received any jobs at all? I noticed all the websites say they can't guarantee any work as it's the clients who choose, which I guess is fair

chloe91 · 13/12/2016 12:13

My children joined in September. We have already been to auditions and my son has done a tv ad - amazing experience!! Very professional company. It is true they do tell you they don't guarantee work as agents don't give the jobs.

To help anyone thinking of getting their kids into modelling you shouldn't pay for anything but photos. A legit agency will make sure you don't get ripped off. Going rate with legit agency is £150 - £200 STAY AWAY from model platforms. A friend of mine paid £800 for photos!!!
Good agencys are tuesdays child, bonnie and betty, urban angels

Definitely chloe91!! Good advice My toddler is with tuesdays child. He s had 4 jobs and lots of auditions. I was told to come back in 6 months when I first applied . I felt this was very honest. Also liked the fact they have been around since the 70s

My son has been asked to join a new modelling and talent agency called Semper Fidelis model and talent agency. The agency is free to join which is unusual since most modelling and talent agency charge a fee. They earn money only when they find work for the kids. All I have to do is complete an online application form using my child images, but the images must be professional looking.
I was just wondering if anyone on here was with them or knew someone with them or heard of them, advice, please.
If you are going to condemn me for looking into my child becoming a model/talent child, please don’t comment. I am not a forceful mum my son wants this and love having his photo taken.
Thanks for any advice

I would always go with a well established agency. At least you know your childrens photos will be sent to real clients. Anybody can get a website. For me it's not just about jobs I don't want any pervs having access to photos of my little one.

Hi, I joined Tuesday Child Modelling Agency years ago, I believe things has changed now. Someone mentioned Semper Fidelis Mode and Talent Agency; I just wanted to know if anyone from Mumsnet has heard of them! I believe they are a new agency, worth giving them a chance as they are free to join!
Let me know your thoughts on this!

Hi thank you yes i too took my kids for a photo shoot with MMA the photography really liked my sons look but i am just a bit worried at paying out as i am a single mum if its not genuine. They also got accepted at EKA it is a big decision to make. I did like the photo's just haven't come across anyone mentioning MMA or anyone who is on their books and has got work.

Don't know much about MMA. Have heard of EKA though. Tuesdays Child is more of a national agency now. We're in the North so only do jobs here. I recommended them to my friend who lives near London. Her little girl was taken on a couple of months ago and has already had a job but she is gorgeous!! She had an audition with a major casting agency through Tuesdays last week too. To anyone starting out we have to pay for photos to begin with but my friend supplied her own to them because she'd recently had some done for herself. My little tink has also had another job recently. Proud mummy ☺

Does anyone know anything about ogoly kids

Viviennemary · 07/08/2017 23:43

They've been going donkeys years. So it must be profitable. But I expect a large percentage of the profits come from the charges for photos and fees rather than any actual work they get their clients. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

mtrob · 08/08/2017 09:26

They don't insist you pay for photos. If you have your own you can use them see my previous post. I think they've been around for donkeys years because they get jobs!!!

Me and my sister got accepted by Tuesday's Child a few years ago. The woman who used to run the agency is called Kathryn Kingsley. It was a scam. £150 for a photoshoot and then heard nothing back. Kathryn is on facebook. I know this thread hasn't been posted on in a while so I don't know if anybody will see this. For everybody saying that it wasn't a scam the agency was closed down in 2019 so that says it all. Also if you search up Tuesday child modelling company gov you will find details about the agency.
