Did a fairy party a few years ago and "the fairy" put a task into each layer of pass the parcel - things like run round the circle, sing a nursery song etc. the girls lapped it up.
Made a fairy castle cake as well on dds wishes - I had to tell everyone what it was!
Also " pin the wand on the fairy".
Have fun!

Yes I have done fordeit pass the parcell, the girls loved things like do a star jump or hop like a fairy. Maybe 4yo is the lower reaches for this tho in terms of age.
Pink fairy cakes, pink popcorn, sandwiches cut like stars, fairy castle cake, grapes, strawberries, raspberries, star glitter and p9nk streamers on the table.

pin the crown - get a big pic of a fairy (blow up an internet one on an A3 photocopier) and cut out lots of crowns; stick blu tack on each one and blindfold the girls one by one, spin them round and get them to stick it to the big pictuire (on the wall).
Nearest one to her head wins!

Dancing around in a fairy ring, musical fairy statues, sleeping fairies, treasure hunt to collect a set of pictures of wand , tiara and wings hidden around the room.

Fairy sandwiches!!! (A NZ favourite) Spread white bread with butter or marge thinly. Sprinkle with 100s and 1000s, cut off the crusts and cut into triangles.

oooh slug sounds yummy!
(but what would the food police say? )

Dor DD's third birthday party we decorated "fairy biscuits" (pink icing and lots of sparkly bits!) and make "fairy necklaces" (funnily enough ... pink beads and lots of sparkly things!!!). After years of boys' parties it was a revelation.
