'Charlie' as in Charlie and Lola outfit

This is what DS1 is dressing as for book day, looks easy enough. T-shirt with different coloured sleeves then 'charlie' on his chest BUT how do I do the charlie bit, write it, sew (do I have too?), glue.
Any practical types got any good ideas?

use a fabric pen or permanent marker that should work is the shirt plain?

i sometimes just write on card then stick in onto the t shirt

Go to the webite, cut and paste the font into word, then trace it.
