Injured pigeon in garden? Been sat all night in bushes, what should I do?

First saw it wobbling round the garden yesterday afternoon and thought may be it had flew into a window and was stunned but then it has just sat behind a bush since then. It's still alive, what should I do? Leave it? Call the RSPB?

Leave it.

Well, this may be the shortest thread in history, I've just checked it and it's dead. Oh bugger.

Our cat caught a pigeon once, it was a homing pigeon from Holland! Has it got a ring on it's leg? I would ring the RSPCA as I'm not sure if RSPB rescuers are as widespread as RSPCA. Hope it's okay....keep us posted.

Call your local vet or wildlife hospital.

Failing that, if you approach it and it doesn't move, then I'm afraid you'll need to finish it off. Otherwise it will be caught by a cat or a fox and die a really nasty death.

Oh I thought YOU had been sat in the bushes all night looking at it for a moment!

You could take it to the vet in a box I did this once with a baby owl I found in the road.

Oops...
