dd has been getting hit/scratched by another girl in her nursery class.
this girl is 1 1/2 older and the parent/teacher excuse is..she speaks limited english(i did have thread a while back about this)
IMO her english is fine as i hear her and she speaks to me when i drop dd off.
anyway, late alst week, dd told me(once we had left school and it was clsoed for day) that this girl had scratched her tummy..looked and quite big angry scratch right were she said!
spoke to teacher next day, but other girl was not in and teacher said her fathers english also wasnt good so he may not grasp it!!!
left it with her..saw him today when collecting dd so asked teacher what had happend...she hadnt spoke to him!..said as it was last week and he has limited englishhe may not understand what is being said..whilst there i said to dd has anyone been nasty today??..no..has anyone been fighting today?..no..went to town, just coming home and...XXX scratched me on my back today(same girl), but cant see a a mark, 'she said she didnt like me'!...gone through it over and over..story stays the same, toldme were when and who else was there, but doesnt know why she didnt tell me or teacher?
rang teacher, she wants to know why dd didnt tell her and that seems to be her issue!, she wants to know why its just happening to dd(making me think she thinks dd is making it up??) and i said thats what id like to know..now im going in to speak to her in morn, have said that if her parents dont understand then they need to bring someone with them who does, or be written a letter or so on.
on one hand im fuming that this child is getting away with this for pathetic and unreasonable excuses then on the other im wondering if this child is just rough ? dd is not rough, but she told me it wasnt an accident and she said she didnt like her before she did it???
really need advice on how to broach this as am sick of getting fobbed off
