We're in SW4 and looking for somewhere we can swim with the DDs (1 and 2.5y) at the weekends.

Hi blonde Do you swim with your ds there? I thought DH checked it out, I may be wrong - thought he said there were only certain times you could swim with kids or something??

Yeah I think it's Sat morn / Sun afternoon
You also have to book at the weekend I think
timetable

I take DS in the week - they have under 5's swim every day. They also offer swim lessons via an external company (so of course more $$).

TheBlonde · 25/09/2006 22:28

We are doing lessons at the moment
DS enjoys it apart from the underwater bits

does it have to be private? the Latchmere has a really nice pool my dd used to adore...

TheBlonde · 25/09/2006 22:38

Friends who've been to the Latch say it's nice - it's too far for us without a car

Balham Leisure Centre doesn't have a baby pool

franch · 26/09/2006 20:00

We use the Latchmere at the moment. Thanks for the timetable blonde - I remember now, DH wasn't too impressed that we would only have two 1h slots when we could use the pool, given what we'd be paying! I was just thinking I might get exercising again, which might make the membership fee more justifiable ... hmm ...

blonde - that pruhealth offer is clever. How much is full price membership?

OP posts:
TheBlonde · 26/09/2006 21:29

Full price is about 80 quid per adult per month
then 8 quid per child
I think the prices are on the holmes place website

creche is about 8 quid for 2 hours per child
open mon/weds/fri 9.30-12.30 & 1.30-4.30(?)
tues and thurs just 9.30-12.30
you need to book a week ahead for most morning slots but afternoons usually have spaces

my bro has done the pru offer so it does work
I'm just being a wuss and worried that it might somehow invalidate my existing healthcare cover

BTW we should meet up sometime soon if you are free

dinny · 26/09/2006 21:41

Tooting has an OK baby pool, TheBlonde....

franch · 26/09/2006 22:45

Thanks blonde - and yes, let's meet! Wilbur too. Let's email
