... feel the need to moan at our neighbours who moved away today. They lived next door for the last two years, we were friendly, but not really friends, their son and my dd1 are the same age and so the Mum and me sometimes met up for the children to play together, also spent Bonfire Night together etc. Last night the Mum asked me if I could look after their son while they were loading up the van... no problem, did that. Then the Mum picked up the son at midday, I said see you later - two hours later they drove off without saying goodbye! I can't believe they've been so rude, I feel quite offended!

Wow JMG. Don't want to tread on your toes, but do you think your neighbour just said something inappropriate out of shock? Although of course very, very stupid and thoughtless people often don't really know what to say when something tragic like this happens.
Hope you are all doing well.

Bad punctuation: the comment was very stupid and thoughtless not 'people'.
