Am sat here not sure what to do. dh rushe out in mad panic because phone rang with automated intruder alert. He's called police and they've given him the number of an emergency glazier/boarder.
He's panicking as he's there on his own and there are loads of people milling round town - there's been some event on.

have just phoned his friend who has gone and joined him. Waiting for glazier. Police still haven't come or phoned him back.

What a bugger.
this sort of mindless vandalism is so infuriating.
I hope they catch who did it.

MrsApronstrings · 23/09/2006 01:45

so sorry cupcakes - hope he's not too long getting it sorted

so glad to see there's someone around!
dh has told me to go to sleep but I feel like I want to wait up for him. I am shattered though (am 27 weeks pregnant).

I don't think there's any cctv where the shop is so no chance of catching the enter applicable expletive.

oohh poor you annd lucky you iyswim. I wouldn't be able to sleep - dh is out tonight and even when I go to bed I'll only half sleep till he's home. whats his shop?

cupcakes · 23/09/2006 01:53

He has a very small shop which processes and prints photos. He had a flood earlier in the year (flat above him had a washing machine which leaked) which damaged his machines so compared to that at least the shop is in working order.
This has been a year of rotten luck.

sorry to hear its been a rough year business wise. Do you have one ds and one bump? do you know what your having?

cupcakes · 23/09/2006 02:04

I have ds and dd already. We haven't found out what this one is yet.
Our year isn't as bad as others but it has been the worst we've known.
Won't start moaning though.
Might go to bed.

Cupcakes, or maybe not so actually, sadly it seems like every Saturday morning in town there seems to be a couple of shops boarded up after Friday night. You don't expect it here do you? (Or I don't anyway)

cupcakes · 23/09/2006 09:01

In a way I feel lucky that it has never happened before.

This is why you see so many shops with shutters to pull down overnight. Sad it has to come to that though.
