........or the dust, mess, noise, smelly builders, cigarette butts, endless making of tea........

.........we are now into week 12 of our extension which was due to last 6-8!! Really want it finished now as the dust and mess is starting to annoy me now - that and having to be dressed and made up by 7 in the morning when the builders arrive as 1 or 2 of them are quite nice!!!!!

Lucky to have considerate builders! We told our builders not to smoke in the house, then got a complaint from our neighbour that their garden was full of butts. They had been smoking out of the bathroom window and flicking them over the fence. Grrr.

How exciting to have an extension though, it's like moving house.

bring on the mess sick of having only 2 bedrooms (dd is still in with us as spare is full of junk) a pokey horrid bathroom and no dining room and sitting crammed round a teeny table, just sitting day dreaming about a deep filled bath or walk in shower (preferably bath so I can sip my champs)

Oh it'll all be worth it, w4e had our loft converted then our kitchen extended - awful while it went on (although we did have very considerate builders, one of htem was DH!!!) I'm so glad we did it.

Good luck- we've just had our builders finish our extension last week. And now it's our turn to get to work! I know it'll look great and so far our new bedroom and bathroom are finished, well except for the shower being plumbed in. Now it's painting, cleaning, sorting(finding!)

I'm really pleased with it all and our builders were great. Very professional throughout, with high standards.

Remember the mantra, it'll all be worth it!(repeat as often as necessary!)

Is this something I should be remembering to repeat often when ours start sammac??? [waving emoticon]
