DH and I are going on 28th November to Manchester.

Has anybody else been to see him - any good?

If you are a big fan then FAB FAB FAB!
Very down to earth, no spectacular floor show, just Weller and a piano, but brilliant.

Carmenere · 20/09/2006 20:26

Yep, agree with Donbean, I saw him a couple of years ago and he was amazing.Enjoy

JollyRogerMamaG · 20/09/2006 20:27

Sounds great but I hope he brings his bloody guitar too!

Oh and Noel Gallagher of course - I understand he sometimes sneaks along...

Yeah and he was excellent. It was the tour of the Stanley Road release. Very straightforward and simple show but very good. Noel Gallacher appeared at the one I was at, everyone was in the bar waiting for the support to leave the stage and in about 15 seconds the bar members flooded the theatre. I have never seen people move so fast except if there's a fire

JollyRogerMamaG · 20/09/2006 20:40

lol - i love Noel too, so that would be amazing

I saw him about 12 years ago and he was very good.

Blondie79 · 20/09/2006 20:42

Saw him at V2000 - absolutley fab. Had never liked him that much before that. He stole the show!

sylvev · 20/09/2006 20:44

Hi
I've seen him twice, at the V festival this year, he was brilliant, lots of energy, joking with the crowd and great music.
First time I saw him with The Jam, many years ago. (I even got a peck on the cheek from him, when we hid backstage), security was pretty slack in those days! Enjoy the concert.

mosschops30 · 20/09/2006 20:44

ooh paul weller, old now but I still would definately, something very sexy about that man. Wonder if he's playing cardiff? You lucky thing jr.

(Oh and I'm not stalking you on every post, just realised it was your thread after I answered )

frumpygrumpy · 20/09/2006 20:47

I was not a fan when he was younger but the voice has aged very well. Noel Gallacher did wonderwall, just him and a guitar and about 300 of us, it was amazing and the crowd let him know how honoured they were.

JollyRogerMamaG · 20/09/2006 20:49

mosschops you are such a perv!
