Can anyone help a very sad 17-month old little boy?

In a nutshell - his best friend "Rabbit" has gone missing and we are panicking....

Best friend is a grey velour Sainsbury's rabbit about 12" tall (sold at Easter 2003/4 I believe.)

If we'd known how significant he was going to be, we would have purchased another and now I'm kicking myself.

If anyone has one they no longer need or would be prepared to sell, my little boy would be very happy.

Thank you

did you lose him outside? hope you have some luck

I SO know what you're going through - my DS lost his comfort toy this summer and I thought my own heart would break, let alone his.
Can't help with the rabbit, I'm afraid, but I wanted to reassure you that the attachment passes incredibly quickly often. I couldn't believe how quickly he got over it.
Good luck anyway!

Have you tried looking somewhere like ebay - some people have had success finding copies of lost favourite toys there.

I so feel for you. We have lost Ted or left him behind on so many occasions. Having Ted's friend (originally bought to replace Ted in event of loss!) doesn't help, because they travel together, and get lost (or forgotten) together.

Perhaps you could speak to Sainsbury's head office, and see if they could help.

Good luck.

Have hunted everywhere, tried ebay and am now onto Sainsbury's HQ.....
Thanks anyway

is there no chance it will turn up? how long ago did you lose it - when we lost 'brush' we found him the next day - sitting on a shelf among all the new teddies at toys r us.

Do you have a photo?

Oh my god - how awful. My son has a "stinky" which was originally a monkey but is very slowly falling to pieces (my son is now 4).
If I could count the time we have spent retracing our steps to find Stinky I'm sure I could add an extra day onto my life!!
We have lost him several times at bootsales and once found him at the bottom of a box of soft toys - don't know what made me look there but just glad I did!!
You could try putting an advert in the local newspaper or in the local shop - if someone has found it they are probably just as keen to get it back to your son as your son is to find it.
Good luck - hope he turns up soon
