So far, keeping the toilet lid down has been enough Not any more - in the 5 mins since he's learned to open it we've lost a cat toy and a measuring tape.
We can't shut the bathroom door, it hasn't got that sort of a latch, and I can't find a toilet lock on kiddicare or mothercare - can anyone help! It's a matter of time until the car keys go.....

OK I can see there are 2 basic types of toilet lock on the internet - the adhesive one and the swing bar one . Does anyone have any opinions which sort is better?

Toilet lock #1

Toilet lock #2 (more expensive but resets automatically).

Cross-posted, sorry. I think they both work fine but the advantage of the swing one is that once you open the lid to actually use the toilet it will reset itself to "locked" when you close the lid. The other one you'll need to manually lock each time. So it depends how good you are at remembering to do things...

Thanks, lemonaid. My memory's ok, but dh...... might have to get the more expensive one Now all I have to do is try and keep it down somehow until it arrives. Sigh.

We put a sort of hook thing on the outside of the bathroom door at the very top to hold it closed so we could keep DS out of there as I couldn't find a toilet lock to stay stuck on my toilet

Its just a simple hook into a little ring.
Any good?

He's 15m, Carolinamoon, and into everything!
That sounds like a good idea too, Alison222, thanks.
