Need to know for my mum who thinks I would know, don't like to shatter her illusion of me. Room 3m by 3m, she feels slightly belittled by the wokmen and needed some advice if you have any. thanks

I would prob put 2 at opposite corners or 3 in a sort of triangle, but depends if you have a shower though. My kitchen/diner is 4mx6m I think, kitchen is half of that and we have 6, the spacing is quite good. The breakfast bar comes down the middle of the two rooms and we have the 3 on that side diretly over it, as they are sunken in to the ceiling you need to have them right above where you are working, otherwise they will create a shadow and it's bl**dy awful. HTH!

I've just been up to count ours. Our bathroom is approx. the same size and we have 6 evenly spaced with one of them being above the shower cubicle which is incorporated in with an extractor fan and works off a separate pull switch. We also have a shaver unit / wall light above each sink. Hope that helps, not technical at all but thats how we did it. We worked it out by putting little coloured tape crosses on the ceiling to see how it would look.

we have three, in a triangle.

Great, thanks. Mum tells me her builders said nine 3 rows of three, not quite what she wanted so now feels justified suggesting otherwise.

They want her to have 9 because they can charge her a vast amount for each one

My bathroom is 3m x 3m ish - with bits missing for cupboards and stuff - and I have one over the basin, one over the bath and one over a wall mirror (and they happen to fall in a triangular pattern) - they are all 50w.

Our bathroom is the same size and we have 4, in a sqaure, none over the bath. Looks fine. The bathroom was done by Dolphin and that's what they suggested.
