been running every other day for a fortnight and I am just KNACKERED. all the time. will I start to feel fit and full of energy at some stage?

Are you getting out of breath quickly? If so, you wont be losing weight, just burning up sugar( energy )
You would be better doing a long slow jog, which burns fat, than a fast run ( which will just burn up calories of the day..)
Should improve if you try this.. keep us posted.

Hi Beddy - I'm not out of breath and also not trying to loose weight - I'm training for an 8 mile run, so have quite a strict schedule to stick to - just been suprised how exhausted I am. but over on the runners' thread they tell me it will get better. not sure I buy into the distinction between burning sugar/energy/calories/fat - the only relevant calculation is whether or not you burn more calories than you eat, if so you'll loose weight - doesn;t matter how you burn them.
