Seen a bike for dd for her birthday and she will be 7 on Thursday.

The one I have seen has a 20 " wheel. Not sure how you can tell as doesn't have ages on it?

dd1 is 6.5 and small but just graduated to a 20" wheel bike. really it's a bit big but she likes it. i think it's supposed to be for age 7-9 ish.

That's great then. Seen a lovely Bratz bike in Tesco for £50 so sounds perfect for her!

We've just bought one of these for ds for his 5th birthday, and with the saddle at it's lowest point it's ok for him. I don't think you'd have a problem with a 20" bike for a 7 year old.

Okay for him? He loves it!

But seriously, most manufacturers reckon on 20" wheels for 'typical' 7year olds and up. Real answer is to go to a proper bike shop and try her on one. Or take the risk with sterling-house (or similar) but do be prepared to return it if unsuitable (as you are legally required to be able to do, but watch out who pays for the return carriage).

I meant ok size-wise!
