Lovely lady next door has been in hospital a lot lately having tests done. Turns out she has terminal cancer so been sent home with macmillan care. She is elderly and her husband lives with her. We dont have a friendly relationship just know each other to say hi how are kids/grandkids etc and she bought some matinee jackets when I had ds. I know I am babbling but just wondered what would be appropriate to send to her to let her know we are thinking of her.

Some homemade pictures from the kids might be nice - something to make her smile. Maybe offer to sit with her while her husband shops or something might help them out.

Sad news Nemo.

Yes, agree, something to make her smile. I'd offer to do some shopping for them too and let them know you're there if they need you.

Dh did say to her dh if there is anything they need then just shout and it is something I have said for the past year that she has been ill so will just reiterate.

think its extra sad as they have been married 40 odd years and lived in that house the whole time as they bought it from her pil.
