Wanted - VINTAGE PUSHCHAIR - to borrow for one day!

Just a wild shot in the dark here - does anyone on MN have a vintage pushchair (1960's or earlier) and live within easy reach of hampshire/berkshire? We are going to the Goodwood Revival motor racing next Saturday, and taking 3 year old dd with us. Her legs do start to tire after a couple of hours, but she's getting a but heavy to lug around too much!! We can take her stroller for when she needs it, but thought it would be nicer if someone had an older pushchair that we could borrow. We would be very careful with it, obviously. (We'd happily leave you a deposit so you know we wouldn't be nicking it either!!)

have you tried looking on ebay, quite often you see a cindico pushchair ort an old maclaren go for about a fiver

try the 3 wheelers. my five year old has been known to sit in it when tired. the tyres make it very easy to push.

Thanks for the tips - I need something that looks like it came from the 1950s so 3 wheelers are out I'm afraid.

Old silver cross/allwin/marmet/tri-ang/cumfifolda pushchairs do come up but they tend to be bought by collectors so the prices go up accordingly!

Looks like they're harder to find than I thought - tons of Silver Cross old pushchairs around but she's a bit big for that!!

i read your thread earlier and thought i can't remember the last time i saw a pram from the 60s (apart from silver cross)

can't help, as in denmark, but how about one of those retro pull along carts? Is it called a 'radio flyer' or something (think Calvin & Hobbes)

We have a wooden one similar, and my children love being pulled in it

oh yes those radio flyers are fab!! and retro!
