are there any charities which help young mothers/couples??

I have some things ie a sofa which i want to give to a charity and i would like to help out people who are starting out especially young mums so does anyone know of a charity I can donate to? tia

there's one local to me, but they aren't nationwide. i'm in wesst wilts.

If you look in your phone book you'll probably find a local one.

Ooh yes Womens Aid are so unsung and given that most of us know someone who's been in an abusive relationship it's amazing how little they get thought of. I should think they prefer unisex or boys clothes as families often turn up in the clothes they are wearing.

I shall be ringing womens aid tomorrow to see if there is anywhere in my area that i can donate too, infact I shall probably be finding more things to donate now thanks for the suggestions ladies
