Apprentice winner Michelle Dewberry has lost the baby she was expecting with fellow contestant Syed Ahmed, her spokesman has said.
Dewberry was taken to hospital suffering from stomach pains at the beginning of the week.
After a series of tests she was told that she had lost the baby.
Her spokesman said: "Michelle and the baby's father, Syed Ahmed, are both extremely upset and are currently supporting each other through this difficult period.
"At the beginning of the week Michelle Dewberry was taken into hospital following stomach pains.
"After a series of tests, she was informed that she had lost the baby.
"They ask that their privacy is respected during this time."
Self-styled entrepreneur Ahmed recently spoke about the pregnancy, saying: "I am in love with Michelle and I want to marry her."
He has said: "Of course we are together and these are exciting times, but at the same time I think Michelle is having quite a complex pregnancy.
"I'm trying to protect her and keep her covered as much as possible."
