Lost "bedtime doggy" . baby gund ,dottie dots dog

Hi,

My ds has lost his "Bedtime Doggy"

It a Baby Gund dottie dots dog , pale pastel blue, very soft plush material. Its not a beanie. He has white dots on the inside of his paws and silky inner ears. He is quite floppy and about 9 inches. I don't know how to do a link but he does come up when you google it. Except he's "extinct"

We went to Thurleigh Farm park in Bedford for a party on Sat and in the car on the way there is the last place I remember seeing him. We don't usually take him out but he'd just been in the W machine and ds wanted to take him. I've rang the farm but no luck there.

We spent 2 hours looking for one online today but he is "extinct" or "retired". i.e baby gund don't make him anymore. Its really hard to find one. We did find dottie dots blankies ( his head on a blankie)and comfy cozys( similar to a blankie) and rattles with his head on etc but not him.

Does anyone happen to know where we can get a new one? Second hand, from a shop they own etc etc... Ds is so sad and so am I. I feel responsible as I didn't insist he leave it in the car.

Hi, thats similar morning paper but he's called Spunky i think!( looked at a lot of baby gund today!)
Ds's is a dottie dots one.

I've actually bought something on ebay today but its not the exact one. He's a dottie dots but different with a rattle in his tummy and crinkly ears. Its better than nothing I suppose but I won't to get the real one for him.

Hi, Thats the same as the one I ordered! Its v similar but not as floppy and like I said , has a rattle in it. Its the closest I think I'm going to get though. Everytime we saw one on line ds and I would get so excited then it would say " no longer available" or "sold out". He was sobbing. They still do dottie dots ducks, frogs and cats but not the dogs. I don't know why.

15 inches is not a problem I had similar bother last year with dd's 'wupwup' who was a discontinued toys r us one.....luckily I found a larger version on ebay and persuaded dd that 'wupwup' had grown up just like she had

I've just bought it!!
It had a buy me now price of $18.99 and the p and p was $22. Thats $41!!(dollars-not sure if dollar sign will work)
On pay pal it said that it was about £23 out of dh pay pal bank account. Does that sound right to you? I'm rubbish at exchange rates.

Also I bought the other "fake" one earlier for $9.99 and $5 p and P.Whats that in pounds?

This dog is expensive. he's never leaving the house again.

The original one was only £4.99 from TK maxx.

I'm so happy! I love MN , ebay and you guys for helping me!
I honestly found it hard to sleep last night cos I felt so sad for ds.
He won't care that he's bigger as its the 'real' one and the other 'fake' one can be its friend. He has a few other bedtime things and they are all that pale blue soft material so the 'fake' one can join in the gang!

I wonder if the farm will call me in the morn and say that its been handed in. It had his name sewn in it.!

Hi, I went on that site this morning but when you click on the quantity button to buy one and go to the checkout it just keeps saying that your shopping cart is empty. Then it plays awful music! I got v excited when I saw him on there but didn't know how to buy it.

UPDATE... Original bedtime doggy has been found! He is at mil house. She didn't even ring us to tell us that ds had left him there. I didn't know ds had taken him in to the house. He must have been left in the car after the farm then stayed in there all night till we went to nannys the next day. I only found out cos I spoke to dh brother and he told me. Mil is on hols for 2 weeks so can't get him yet.
But... replacement number 1 from ebay (found by hairy maclary)arrived today!
Replacement number 2 (found by morning paper) is on its way too.
We're going to have a whole gang of bedtime doggys!

hooray! I am so glad you found him. he'll still be the one and only I expect.
Now I really must go and get a "spare" rabbit in case this ever happens to us

The one you found on ebay is great though. Very similar to original doggy. ds has been walking around with it all day.
