council workers are outside the house scrubbing blood off the pavement outside the Trisha house and further up the road with lashings of bleach!

There's another ambulance outside now!

Stinks of bleach out there from road scrubbage

SM, have you any idea who might have stabbed who and why?

Slinky · 19/03/2004 17:17

oooh Spacemonkey - bit exciting round your neck of the woods isn't it??

Had a stabbing at a local pub last weekend. Friends DH was taking some people out for a business meal. Clients were asking "is it a quiet pub etc etc"

oh yes, my friends DH says, no trouble at all, very friendly etc etc.

Turn the corner at the pub to find various police cars, ambulance all rushing around

lydialemon · 19/03/2004 17:21

Spacemonkey, just had a strange feeling you might be a friend of my sister...........and then realised I was confusing colchester with rochester! I will now slip quietly away.

suedonim · 19/03/2004 17:22

Wow, Spacemonkey, your day has made my day infinitely cheerier! I've been ill this week and logging on to this and the other thread made me

I once spent a few days in Colchester, at the ?Red Lion Hotel and had a very nice time. Castle is great - do you get free entry??

eidsvold · 19/03/2004 18:42

wow - you live right near the castle - that is a relatively nice part of Colchester I thought.

spacemonkey · 19/03/2004 18:59

Well, there was nothing on the local news so I'm none the wiser really

All I've heard is that it was probably a stabbing and at least 2 people were carted off in an ambulance. Apparently there was a lot of blood spilled on the Trisha house doorstep.

The Trisha house is a bit notorious in these parts - it's the hub of a lot of drug-related activity - so it's not as if a random passer-by was attacked, which is why I wasn't afeared for my life!

eidsvold - I thought this was a nice area too (it's the Dutch Quarter which is a historic area of picturesque narrow streets in the town centre), but in fact there's a high population of trisha guests and mad old loons

I know the Red Lion Hotel well suedonim! It's on the High Street about 3 minutes walk away!

I guess you don't actually need to stay there overnight, then, if you're only three mins walk away, SM!

Hope you have a quiet evening to recover from all the excitment.

lou33 · 19/03/2004 21:04

Slinky, I went to the Gilberd with Detective Inspector Spacemonkey too! Grew up in Colchester in the very not lovely Greenstead Estate!

Mw just texted you.

marthamoo · 19/03/2004 21:06

So SM isn't helping the Police with their enquiries then ?

lou33 · 19/03/2004 21:14

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if she was. She hasn't answered my text message yet.

sassy · 20/03/2004 13:34

I went to uni in Colchester in early 1990s. I LOVED the dutch quarter, can;t believe it is the den of iniquity spacemonkey is saying!!
BTW, what is the Trisha house?

lou33 · 20/03/2004 14:06

Trisha house= houseful of people who would fit in on Trisha perfectly.

Chinchilla · 20/03/2004 22:23

Slinky - I am from Colchester too. I left Philip Morant in 1988 (end of A' Levels). Why don't you come to the Colchester meet up on April 2nd?
