Company's that change the way a house looks from the outisde?

We've bought what we call 'The Ugly House' as it is well....really ugly from the outside but is on the road we want to live on, has great garden etc etc etc we will eventually do work to it but as the outside (bungalow with a masive dormer)is just as bad as the inside (lime and purple stripey wall paper)its going to be a big job - Anyone know anyone?

Can you not just render/whitewash it, add a pretty porch and shutters and call it a cottage?

We did the same, Alp, even down to the decor you describe but it has loads of space. Bought it five years ago and its still pug ugly on the outside but radiant within.

That company seems to pop up all the time in magazines & newspapers. I'm sure it's monstrously expensive but the site has some good ideas you could crib on the cheap(ish)...
