I've got 4 kids sleeping upstairs!

Nothing strange in that to some of you I know.

But this is the first sleep over of my brothers 2 girls until Friday. (the other 2 are my own)

All seeming very surreal at the moment. I've got days planned out etc. But I'm just wondering how it's all going to go.

Anybody any experience of this???

you're gonna be tired. I had my niece and nephew for a week last summer as well as my dd and 8mths pregnant.

It was a long week - only broken up by dh being home for a couple of days.

they both got homesick by evening of day 2 and I think they didn't enjoy as much as being with us for the odd day because being an aunty for a day and spoiling them rotten is different to being "surrogate" mum for a week.

thanks for your advice. My brother is going away for a few days - child free break & they will be returning the favour.

Day 1 has gone well so far although they do sound like a herd of elephants upstairs.

Thanks for reminding me about the homesick I'll keep an eye on that tomorrow
