How much to upgrade seat belt?

Working out whether to fork out for a new car seat which will fit in the middle with a lap belt (but will only last up to 4yo) or change the lap belt for a 3-point belt and will then be able to move seat from side to the middle. Wondered if anyone has had this done and what sort of cost was involved?

is possible with some cars. would check with the dealer first, see if they do an 'original equipment' one. if they do and its possible, look for an aftermarket copy. the most common make is securon.
