bulbs or somehing like nasturtium seeds planted in a painted pot?
or cress planted in a painted eggshell head (cheaper!)?

well my guides have just done a lovely job of painting flower pots. the pots weren't huge - 20p each so not too dear either.

did painted tissue boxes last year.

sweets? - peppermint creams/ marzipan fruits?

daffs out of egg boxes & green pipe cleaners

depends how long you want it to take them!

My brownies have just made medals out of chocolate coins. You can glue them onto a ribbon to hang around mum's neck. However I made templates of 'war' medals which they glued a little piece of stripey (wrapping) paper, glued the coin at the bottom and glued a little strip of tinfoil along the top. They could then write a greeting on the back of the medal.

I echo the pots idea. I got a couple of pots form garden centre and my 2 DD's painted them, I then painted over them with a matt varnish and stuck in a 99p plant - I'm sure the grannies will love @em!!

When is UK Mothers Day... please don't think I'm totally barmy, but I live overseas and seems all other nations celebrate the American one in May... but both Grannys are in the UK so want to send cards... if it's not already too late

It's Sunday, sis (21st).

Could you quickly order some flowers via the internet?

Janh · 19/03/2004 13:12

sjs, sorry!

Janh · 19/03/2004 13:31

Interflora site - says it can deliver on Sunday (for an extra £3) if you order today or tomorrow. Not cheap though!
