Graco Travel System, 18 months old, with car seat, raincover and footmuff. Good condition apart from scratches on tray.

Large pine bunk bed with single sofa bed/chair underneath and desk with four drawers, comes with mattress but desk has pen marks on it

why not just put them on ebay, and let the people bid?

You won't get much for the Graco. Hardly anyone buys them 2nd hand because a) they are cheap to buy new, and b) they don't have a v good reputation for quality (more cheap and cheerful). Mamas and Papas, Mountain Buggy etc all have excellent resale because they have good reputations and are v expensive to buy new. I'd say you'd be lucky to get £30-£40 for the Graco, regardless of condition

What did you pay for the bunk bed and how long have you had it ? From your description, I'd pay £50 max for it.

Maybe I'm just stingy, but if this is for the small ads then prices have to be rock-bottom or folks just won't call.

dont know anything about ebay dont you have to give a portion of what you get to the site?

Thanks NDP, would be happy getting about £100 for the two things

(i am me, have changed my name back, cos I feel like a newbie and no-one talks to me as chops )

I would disagree with the bunkbed price.
I use ebay a lot to buy from and have been looking for a similar item to what you describe by Stompa. The ones on ebay are anything from £200. upwards for a decent secondhand one

If theres just a few scrathes on the desk I would think you will do very well to list it there. Why dotn you do a search and see wht others are going for?

I bet you will be pleasantly surprised!

Good luck x

Does your local branch of the NCT have a Nearly New Sale - you don't have to be a member to sell, just quick off the mark as people have it marked in their diaries (at least they do round here) months ahead. You can sell pushchairs manufactured afeter a certain date (yours is fine, it's a few years ago) so long as they have the instruction manual and the warning-child-is-your-responsibility sticker still on. They seem to go for reasonable prices, and as people are there they will buy. (NB you'd have to check the rules re the car seat - technically the NCT won't sell secondhand car seats but here the seller sells the pushchair with a "free" car seat ie you buy the pushchair for a price that reflects the car seat from the NCT and pick up the car seat on the way out).

EBay - you have to pay an amount to list it - under a pound for the sort of amounts you are talking about, and a "final value fee" ie a percentage of the price (not a huge amount - there is somewhere on eBay with all the fees listed). We sold our Stompa bed on EBay and specified "cash on collection only" as the other thing you have to pay is a fee if people pay on Paypal (ie they use their credit card and Paypal sends you the money to your account).
