I would just like to thank Mumsnet profusely - dh and I and 2 dd's have just returned from our weekend stay at Alton Towers that we won just before Christmas - we had a fabulous time, the hotel was brilliant with a built in water park that was fantastic, the food was lovely, and we had four hours in the theme park yesterday on selected rides including Air which is a totally awesome rollercoaster where you are lying horizontally like superman. It was all very baby friendly too. I would thoroughly recommend it for a weekend break, and thank you VERY MUCH Mumsnet!!

Glad you had such a great time! Isn't it wonderful if you haven't had to pay for it - a real unexpected treat!

(I'm still looking forward to getting my JVC home entertainment system - thank you Mumsnet for that!)

dahlia, I remember that competition - I really wanted to win that one. It must have been such a thrill for you.

Just want to add my thanks, again, to mumsnet for the Haven holiday I won a couple of years ago. We were given an 8 berth mobile home, so we were able to invite our PILs with us. They are our only relatives. We often stay in their house, and we all get along pretty well. Anyway it was just so nice to be able to give them a holiday for a change. We have some lovely family memories of the week.

On another competition theme, I received £50 worth of ELC vouchers today. I had forgotten that I entered it, which made the win even better! The prize also included a free bus ticket for a day. Amazing! I'm also really looking forward to receiving the DVDs that I won on here.

I have just received my mumsnet competition prize - the bushbaby carrier.....will put it somewhere safe for now until next time - it look totally fantatsic!!
