ah, what about arm bands?

Pinotmum · 12/08/2006 15:27

Float suits are great at this age. Ds had a float suit and arm bands to balance him out and this kept his face well above water level whether I held him or not.

Don't use the arm things. When we took swim class they were very emphatic that they were not safe. One of those suits with a built-in flotation device should be fine, though.

another vote for floatsuit, but takes a few sessions for them to get used to it. Get a brand with good rep (floaties are good).

Our daughter is 14 weeks old and we are thinking of taking her to the swimming pool - is this a good age or too early? What recommendations does anyone have from their own experiences?
